A Gift From the Hart: Turning a Holiday Campaign Into Real Impact

We all know that the holidays are a time for connection, reflection, gratitude, and maybe one more cookie than originally planned. But this holiday season was extra special at Tommy John as we had the privilege of bringing our holiday campaign, Gift From The Hart, to life in the most meaningful way possible.
From Concept to Comfort
What began as a creative concept rooted in our brand values quickly became something very real through our partnership with the Second Round Foundation and Covenant House. Covenant House does extraordinary work every day to support young people experiencing homelessness—providing shelter, resources, and a path forward. Being welcomed into their community was a privilege, and one we didn’t take lightly.
At Tommy John, our purpose is delivering Confidence through Comfort. We believe comfort isn’t just physical, it’s emotional. When you feel cared for and seen, it changes how you carry yourself. For youth navigating incredibly difficult circumstances, something as simple as new PJs or socks can represent dignity, security, and hope. These weren’t just gifts. They were reminders that someone was thinking of, and believing in these young people. And that everyone deserves really good pajamas.

Gift From The Hart came to represent more than a seasonal message, it became an expression of the values we strive to live every day as a brand. Partnering with Covenant House allowed us to move beyond storytelling and put those values into action, alongside NBA star Josh Hart. Together, we created a memorable experience that delivered confidence and comfort: each young person received our award-winning Tommy John pajamas and socks, a warm meal, and the chance to meet and connect with Josh in person.

Josh embodied the spirit of Gift From The Hart in every way. He was genuinely engaged, fun and gracious. He took the time to connect with each young person, handing out bags of Tommy John gear one by one, sharing encouragement, and listening. You could see the impact instantly. The room lit up with laughter, warmth, and more than a few “wait… these are actually amazing” reactions.
More Than a Holiday Campaign
It’s true that Gift From The Hart was our holiday campaign—but at Covenant House, it became something more. It was more than a message, it became a moment. It became real gifts, given from the heart (and yes, from the Hart). And this holiday season, I was reminded just how meaningful—and lasting—that feeling can be.
